This day that year

Do you remember the games we played in kindergarten or pre school? Those were the subtle days of "Fire in the mountain-run run run", Color color which color do u want....
All we knew was that it was time to play and thats what our friends, teachers or mamma taught us.Newspaper was something that dad read over a cup of coffee and we were asked not to speak when ma n pa watched news on DD 1.
The world has changed and please help me with a more effective word for this metamorphosis.
My six year old cousin's favourite game is to detect bombs(Beat that!!!).He has different books for Computer Science and Information Technology(Yes! Believe me).The last day in kindergarten is called "Graduation day" (n for what fun??? Does it mean I graduate like some 6 or 7 times?).

They say the world has changed for good,But i think my subtle and quite childhood which had only my friends , my dolls ,my family was so much better in many ways.I liked my protected childhood where I was not particular about Nike shoes or Wildcraft bags.I was thrilled to go to school with a new red n black pencil. In fact I loved it when my pencil had a sharper lead.

I know I wont get those days back and I also dont know if I can really compare them to others ,all I know is that my kids would know so much more than me but the innocence will be lost.

Indu, must tell you that the post made sense to me. Its all about evolution. And the new generation is more smarter than what we were.

EVOLUTION!!! Is what it is called... Or maybe "O-I-am-getting-old" The first little glimmer of the giant of constriction of thought is showing up isn't it?

Yes they were cherished days. News on DD1, Ek chidiya.. anek chidiya... The camlin pencil and the blue-yellow sharpners. Plasto eraser was a rage, swept the page clean. And amidst all the little inky-pinky-ponky was our preserved childhood.
Memories are for sure like the box of crayons we used. So many colours, many other combinations. Trust me folks, they have been the same in the ages past and will continue to be the same for ages to come.
The seven colours will still be the same. Identifications will change for sure. Red to my mom was the colour of rose. To me, it was one of the colours of my didi's poster colour set. To my youngsters, it might be Britney's lipstick (who knows). But red will forever be red.
Innocence, intellligence, smartness are all relative. what is absolute is childhood, adolescence and youth.
Innocence will forever remain my dear Mama India provided our perception of it is in tune with the times.
Look at others while holding the light in your hands and you'll only be able to see their dark shadows bigger than yours.
Childhood is forever protected, secured, sacred. We just need to see it in a different light. We need to accept the options WE GRANT.
My kids will be the epitomes of innocence if i am smart enough to see through them.
Do not lament, come out into the light. childhood is as pure as it was. It is never lost. Relive it in a new zeal through other little hearts. Break out of the Matrix of generations and the Here's the world in its new found beauty!!
